The Sources and Playing Conventions . . .
This series of games uses Wizards of the Coast's (WotC) Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 Edition Core Rules. (PHB 3.5Ed, DMG 3.5Ed, and MMG 3.5Ed.)
Additionally, I am using the following supplements on a case-by-case basis: Races of Destiny, Races of the Stone, Races of the Wild, Races of the Dragon, Dieties and Demigods, and the Draconomicom.
If the players wish to use something from one of the other books, they can provide a book for my review, but they will not be allowed to use it until I have my own copy. (And no, that is not a veiled hint that they should buy me a copy!)
The players were initially asked to play a 'standard' character and NO EVIL IS ALLOWED. (I'm the storyteller and I don't tell stories were the bad guys win. They may get away now and then, but they seldom win.)
