Session #1, June 3, 2006

Raecyn, Female Half-Elven Sorceress
Lily Firnbottom, Female Elven Fighter

Setting: A lonely seldom traveled road traveling South through a moderate wood towards the port town of Silverthal.

Synopsis: While traveling south towards Silverthal, the party, by their best guess approximately 30 miles north of Silverthal, sets up camp to rest for the night. The party establishes the order of the watches and settles in for the night.

During the second watch, while Raecyn was on watch, a small party of Kobolds attacked the party. Raecyn, being taken unaware, was struck a serious blow but she survived to warn the rest of the party. As the party quickly rose from their beds to face off against the invading Kobolds, Raecyn was struck again, causing a spell she was attempting to enspell the attackers with to misfire. Fortunately, the energy of the spell harmlessly dissipated.

The party moved to the attack and made quick work of the Kobolds, killing them to the last one, even though he had turned to flee the obviously stronger party.

The party searched the dead Kobolds and then packed up and moved further down the road towards Silverthal.

(NOTE: This session was very short . . . at least as tfar as the actual game-play was concerned. We spent a number of hours working up characters for most of the players and, for those who had never played before, it was a fairly long process. By the time that all of the characters were ready, it was 10:00PM and one of the 'kids' that had come along had to get home, so we did a single encounter to give the new players a taste . . . and thats all it took!)
